Chapter 3
Listen to the Story
Eric makes a lot of coffee and tea. Maya serves some chocolate cakes and many sandwiches to the customers. The café has ten tables, and now all the tables are full.
“Do we have any milk?” Eric asks. He is very busy in the kitchen.
“Yes, we have some milk in the fridge, but we don't have any sugar,” Maya answers.
There are many families at the tables. Some children drink orange juice, and some parents eat cookies. Maya looks out the window. She sees many trees and the blue lake, but she does not see the man in the grey coat today.
She has a lot of work, so she cannot go to the grass to find the shiny object.
“We need more lemons for the tea,” Maya says. Eric looks in a big box. “We don’t have any lemons,” he says. “I can go to the shop later.”
