Unit 5: Immersive Spanish Stories
Deepen your fluency through the power of storytelling. Our collection of A2, B1, and B2 level stories is designed to bridge the gap between basic grammar and natural conversation. These stories will help you improve your reading comprehension in Spanish and increase your Spanish vocabulary. Audio narrations are included to help you improve your pronunciation and listening skills. The more you read the stories, the more intuitive your understanding of Spanish will become.
A2 and B1 Level Short Stories
Here are some Spanish short stories at pre-inermediate and intermediate reading levels. Read and listen to stories, then answer the questions that follow to help you start thinking in Spanish.
B2 Level Stories
These stories are at an upper intermediate level. To support your progress, each story features side-by-side Spanish and English text, allowing you to decode new vocabulary in real-time.
Learning Tips
Here are a few tips to help you learn Spanish.
- Try and spend at least fifteen minutes a day learning Spanish.
- Spend some time every week writing in Spanish: short conversations, descriptive paragraphs, and/or whatever comes to mind.
- Make good use of the flashcards in the lessons to help you learn the vocabulary.
- Go back and review the lessons in this course every once in a while to refresh your memory of the vocabulary and grammar concepts. This is especially important if the lessons are becoming too challenging.
- When you have a few minutes free time, try thinking in Spanish. You can think about your surroundings, things you plan to do, or just try and remember common phrases.
- If you have friends who speak Spanish, or who are also learning, try to speak with them in Spanish.
- Once you have learned some vocabulary, try watching Spanish movies and tv shows. Reading Spanish stories, like the ones included in this course, will solidify your vocabulary and help you become fluent in the language.
